SIGs review

The Special Interest Groups (SIG) of the Portuguese Textile Cluster were restructured in April 2021, giving rise to five Special Interest Groups: SIG Sustainable Bio Circular, SIG Performance, SIG Digitalization, SIG Skills and SIG Design & Product Development.
In June these Groups begin to function and in these first six months of operation, 400 members of the Cluster were involved, in a total of 42 meetings, all in the online version, due to the pandemic situation experienced during 2021.

In these meetings, the challenges of the textile and clothing sector have been discussed in the various areas under analysis, by each of the SIG; these groups are taking firm steps towards the definition of strategic roadmaps.

Meetings with all SIG members have been well attended, with an average of 43% of SIG members attending these meetings.

These meetings promote collaborative work, which is essential for the construction of a shared vision by the members and for the development of the Cluster's strategic agenda. We would like, therefore, that next year more members can participate in the meetings, increasing the critical mass present in each working meeting.

We remind you that the executive groups of each SIG have monthly meetings, and in some cases extra meetings are held to those planned, and meetings with all members take place on a quarterly basis, with the next ones scheduled for March 2022. We hope that at that time conditions will allow that the meetings be held in the face-to-face version.
