Final event of the Hi-Tech-TEX project took place in Vila Nova de Famalicão, Portugal

The European Hi-Tech-TEX project, which started in February 2022, coordinated by the Portuguese Textile Cluster, ended on January 31st, 2024. The final phase of the project was celebrated with a final event entitled "Textile meets Habitat", which took place in CITEVE's facilities, on the afternoon of January 23rd, 2024, and was attended by 36 people.

The event began with a welcome from Braz Costa, general manager of CITEVE, and a brief presentation of the project and its results, by Maria José Carvalho, project manager at the Portuguese Textile Cluster. The event included a coaching session, "A funny way of being serious", led by Pedro Neves, and some presentations of projects linking the Textile and Habitat sectors, given by Augusta Silva and Cristina Oliveira, from CITEVE, and Kevin Rodrigues, from CENti. Vitor Ferreira, from the Portuguese Sustainable Habitat Cluster, presented the main challenges for the Habitat value chain.

The session ended with a workshop, with the main goal of creating synergies between both sectors, textile and habitat, and stimulate future partnerships between these two sectors.
