European Comissio recognises the innovative textile partnership supported by Regiotex

In mid-July the European Commission published a key regional policy communication entitled "Strengthening Innovation in Europe's Regions: strategies for resilient, inclusive and sustainable growth". In this document, which can be downloaded at http://ec.europa.eu/regional_policy/en/information/publications/communications/2017/strengthening-innovation-in-europe-s-regions-strategies-for-resilient-inclusive-and-sustainable-growth, the EC recognises the valueable work done by the thematic partnerships such as Innovative Textiles (aka. RegioTex) and announces the launch of pilot actions to support commercialisation and scale-up of inter-regional innovation projects. The RegioTex partners will actively explore this new support mechanism. More details should be made available at the "Grow Your Region" conference on 8-9 November, hosted by one of the RegioTex lead regions in Valencia.
